Boulters Weir Trip
When & Where
Saturday 20th July 2019
9.30am for 10am on water

Boulters Lock, Maidenhead
Boulters Lock Weir & Kayak Flume is a public facility and is shared with anyone else who want to paddle there.
Thus we aim to be there early on the Saturday to (hopefully) get there before the rush!
We are planning to meet at the car park opposite Boulters Lock cut just after 9.30am (see maps below) to be changed and on the water for 10am and play for just under two hours, to be back in the car park by noon.
Parents can walk from the car park onto the island where there is a tea shop and ice creams available, as well as plenty of space to watch us play on the flume, take pictures etc. You may want to bring a camping chair if you have one! The island is a public park so if it's sunny you may want to bring a picnic for when we finish and/or shop in Maidenhead afterwards.
Paddlers should be at a BCU 2 star standard, and must be both competent and happy capsizing with a spray deck.
If you have any questions on the required level of competence, please ask.
You should arrange your own transport for yourself and any equipment you require.
Please speak to Paul if there are any issues.
